BENCO THERMAL TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD. is an emerging market
leader in the field of thermal engineering. In a short span of time benco
has built a strong reputation among its clients for high quality thermal
engineering systems.
The company is promoted by young qualified technocrats with more than a
decade of experience in thermal engineering. By virtue of the technical
expertise of its promoters benco is in a position to offer total packages on
turn key basis in design, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of
heating & heat treatment furnaces, ceramic kilns, large hot dip
galvanizing plants, large melting furnaces for non ferrous metals, rolling
mills for non ferrous metals with con cast machine for continuous casting of
zinc alloy.
In addition to employing state-of-the-art technology in refractory
insulation, heating systems, benco uses sophisticated instrumentation,
control systems and state of the art material handling systems, both bought
out and indigenously developed in house. Benco works closely with their
clients enabling them to have systems meeting international standards of
quality.

About the Promoters
MR. P. RAMACHANDRAN, B. Tech. (Metallurgy)
Mr. Ramachandran is a Metallurgical Engineering graduate and is 49 years
old. He had earlier worked with M/s. Mazagaon Docks Limited, M/s.Greaves
Cotton & Co. Ltd and M/s. Carborandum Universal Limited.
He has rich experience in the field of thermal engineering, combustion
technology. He has undergone training in the field of factory management at
Osaka, Japan through association of overseas technical
scholarships, Tokyo, Japan - a project sponsored by
government of Japan. Mr. Ramachandran is incharge of
marketing, projects and diversification.
MR. R. RANGARAJAN, B. Tech. (Chemical)
Mr. Rangarajan is a chemical engineering graduate and is 47 years old. He
had earlier worked with m/s. Paharpur cooling towers, calcutta and is well
versed with process control, custom designed thermal process plants. [Heat
treatment plants]. He is in overall charge of project planning and execution
.
Design and Engineering
The design and engineering section is equipped with latest software from
auto cad, inventor etc. And is run by qualified professionals. The team is
capable of understanding clients requirement and transforming it into
a workable proposal.
Main Stores
This will have all the main raw materials like steel plates, stainless
steel items, refractory items etc. The company will strive hard to arrive at
the minimum inventory level to ensure lower operating costs but at the same
time it will also ensure that the equipments and spares are offered at
reasonably fast delivery periods. Company also holds common spares required
for maintenance of the heat treatment plant which can be shipped to
customer's a short notice.
Test and Calibration Laboratory
To ensure highest quality standards, all tools, gauges, controllers
measuring equipments are periodically calibrated with traceability to NABL
standards.
Sub-contracting Activities
Benco utilises the services of well trained and qualified sub contractors
for the following activities :
1. Fabrication.
2. Manufacture of sub assemblies.
3. Machining of components.
4. Refractory insulation system.
5. Erection and commissioning of heat treatment furnaces and allied
equipments.
The entire activity of sub contractors is carried out at Bencos
factory except for item No.3. Since the entire activity is done under Bencos
supervision the quality of work in the hands of sub contract is closely
monitored for an excellent quality equipment.
Quality Control at Benco
The Company believes in strict quality control and has a set of dedicated
high quality suppliers. The company carries out routine detailed inspection
of incoming raw materials, equipments, sub-assemblies. The sub-contractors
manufacturing and testing methods are subjected to rigorous regular checks
to ensure perfect quality.
1. Incoming material check
A. Dimensional check.
B. Physical & Chemical properties of basic raw materials.
2. Sub-assembly inspection
- Items like heating and pumping unit are tested for parameters like
leakage, pressure, flow rate, etc.
- Combustion blowers are tested for pressure and leakage and starting
current of the motor, dynamic balancing, etc.
- Heating elements are subjected to dimensions, resistance checks ,etc.
- Bought out items like electric motors, pressure gauges, temperature
gauges, heaters, etc., are tested.
- Instrumentation items like controllers, recorders, RTDs,
thermocouples, are tested and calibrated with traceability to National
Standards
3. Pre-Delivery / Site Inspection
Testing of all parameters like insulation thickness, operational parameters
of allied equipments, heat-up rate, temperature uniformity, etc.
Process control instruments like thermocouples, pid controllers. Etc. Are
calibrated at national metallurgical laboratories, with traceability to
national standards.
Electronic test and development center wherein the results are traceable to
national standards.
Heating elements, alloy steel castings, plates, etc. are tested in
Government approved laboratories for chemical composition and physical
properties
To a great extent most of the parameters are checked in-house in view of
the excellent facility available in Bencos factory. In addition to
this, once the product is fully assembled, the performance characteristics
is fully checked at site by actually operating the equipment for its desired
operation.

1. Continuous hardening and tempering line with oil quench rated for
250Kgs/Hr with atmosphere control.
2. Aus tempering / mar quench line rated for 20Kgs/Hr
3. Integral quench furnace gross capacity 600Kgs
4. Full functional metallurgical and testing lab
5. Logistics facility to collect and deliver components
